Windows 7, disable file open security message for samba fileserver

In windows 7, you will get a security message if you try to run a program from a samba fileserver. To whitelist you samba fileserver, e.g. MYSERVER

  1. Open control panel, internet options
  2. Select local internet - Sites
  3. Uncheck determine intranet sites automatically
  4. Select Advanced
  5. enter file:MYSERVER'' and then select Add Ref: http://blogs.it-nonstop.de/jd/windows-datei-offnen-sicherheitswarnung-richtig-deaktivieren/
